Windows PC Users
Microsoft Outlook has a popup on my PC that suggests I “Try the new Outlook”. Should I?
No. Verdiva Bio recommends that you do NOT select the “new Outlook”. Existing plugins (e.g. Zoom scheduling plugin) no longer work and the user experience may have some other unexpected implications. If you have already done so, we recommend that you revert to the original Outlook until the IT organization recommends its use.
Mac Users
Why have we installed Windows Defender on our MacBooks?
Microsoft Defender is installed on all endpoints (Windows and Macs) because it offers endpoint protection (next generation antivirus protection), endpoint detection and response and it provides vulnerability management. It forms part of the Microsoft suite of Defender security products. As well as the antivirus function of the software being critical to the business, the vulnerability scanning component means that the versions of software that are installed on a Mac and that are monitored by Microsoft are flagged to us when they have vulnerabilities. Some providers of cyber insurance have previously asked for the Microsoft Secure Score when quoting for coverage.
Can I use the Verdiva Bio provided business Apple ID to log into my personal iPad or iPhone?
Yes, however, please keep in mind that your business Apple ID is managed by the IT Organization. Its password is the same as (synchronized with) the MS 365 account password.
